This actually came up during dinner conversation last night.  A Backstreet Boys song was playing on the bad music in the restaurant, and my wife mentioned that the two groups were touring together.

New Kids on the Block were commonly abbreviated NKOTB back in the day, and Backstreet Boys, while not nearly as cumbersome, were commonly abbreviated BSB.  So I asked my son to guess what the combined acronym is, and he couldn't.  I told him NKOTBSB, and he said that that's the first thing he thought of, as it's the most obvious, but it's also completely stupid so there's no way it could be right.  I agreed, and it was also exactly my thought process.  But if something is the most obvious solution, who cares if it's completely stupid?
