I did this cover some time last year, but recently found a guitarless backing track so I remixed it. Some creative eq-ing was required to get the appropriate tone. Tell me what you think.

MIJ 1993 Strat (A D G C E A tuning, 14-62 strings) & MIA 2008 Strat (Standard tuning for solos) - Keeley Time Machine Boost - BB Preamp - Tone Press - Crunchbox - 2x DD20 - Vox AC15 - mic-ed with Shure Beta 58A into Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 - Additional reverb added in Reaper.

I know the guitar volume isn't particularly high, but I tried to mix it so the guitar would fit in with the song and not stick out like a sore thumb.

Pretty cool dude!
Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.
Cedar redaC swoops in for the kill!

Ah I thought this was gonna be asking for advice.

Was about to rush in and suggest rolling some tone off the bridge pickup and scooping the mids on the amp a bit. :P

Thanks guys.

Hehe, that's exactly what I did. had to do the scoop post recording though, since neither the AC15 nor my pedals have a dedicated mids knob.

:omg: :omg:

3 1/2 steps down calls for drastic measures. Lol. On hindsight, i would have preferred a 64 or 66 for the low A but that might have made it a bit too tight for B tuning.

Phil Collen for Def Leppard uses 13s in standard tuning :/

But then he also has the ugliest guitar known to man :

I use 11s in standard for electric guitar. Anything more hurts too much for bending. 13s must be for those with steel fingers. Hehe.

I only ever use the Red Ernie Balls.

The 10 - 52 Slinkys.
