Has anyone seen a show here? This looks like it will be my show on this tour, so was just wondering. I am thinking about getting seats in the balcony. I have seen DT 4 times and I am always in the first 10 rows, so thought I would try something different. Still a couple of open dates after this show, if they announce a show in Va or NC, I will catch that show as well.

it's not a bad place to see a show.  good sight lines, good acoustics, seats just under 2000, and can be surprisingly intimate.  i would recommend floor rather than balcony tho.

honestly tho, i am genuinely surprised that if they were playing dc and not going to a larger venue like constitution hall, wolf trap, or merriweather post (where they played on the last PN tour), that they chose not to book the 9:30 club, which is one of the best clubs in the country, and fits 1100 people at capacity.  would've been cool to see them do a couple nights there, but i'm sure that there were issues like shows already booked at the time when DT's gonna be in town, etc.

so all in all, good place, and WAY better than constitution hall, which was where they played on the octavarium tour.  i'm looking forward to it.

Thanks for your reply. Looking at the seating chart, the balcony overhangs the floor by quite a long way. Seems like a good seat if you are in the first few rows. I would also like to be elevated so I can see Mangini really well. I have never seen him live and am looking forward to it.

I actually LOVED Constitution Hall.... Am I alone on that?

Its nice to know that this can be an intimate venue, still on the fence about going. It would have to be pretty cheap.

Have never been to the Warner Theatre to see a concert, but from their website, there doesn't look to be bad seat in the house. Psyched to see DT here. I've only seen DT at "big" venues, so seeing them in this really cool looking theatre will be awesome.

Does anyone know if there's a pre-sale to get tickets before Friday?

The acoustics have pretty much sucked at every concert I have been to at DAR (Tori Amos, Alice in Chains, Robert Plant). I am very happy they are not playing there. I was kind of hoping they would get booked at the new Filmore in Silver Spring, but I have no issues with The Warner Theatre...

(and yeah, every show i've ever seen at DAR had terrible sound.  but every show i've seen at the warner theater had great sound, so *fingers crossed*)

wow this venue is expensive...

I'm probably passing this tour, even though I really don't want to. It would be hard for me to do a Monday night during college...

Worst case I decide to go and get a really bad seat, but those seats are all I could afford anyways

Congrats to those who got good seats!

Wow, Warner Theatre.  That's an interesting venue choice.  I thought they might go for DAR Constitution Hall or something again.  I've been to the Warner once to see Blue Man Group.  Definitely a more "intimate" venue to see them at in terms of view and seating arrangement.  I thought Warner seemed small when I was there, but I guess it's bigger than I thought if it holds 2000 or so.

Should be an interesting show that night.

BTW if you go through Ticketmaster/Live Nation to get the tickets, they are only $58 or $69 and NOT the hundreds of dollars posted on the Warner Theater site.

My sister just bought me tickets for this show as a birthday present, seeing as its a week after my birthday. Balcony seats, but at this point I am pleased with my present. :D

Balcony seats are still pretty decent seats at this venue.  I've got seats on the lower balcony myself.

I too will be seeing the show from the balcony. I got an aisle seat in the center section of the lower balcony - first row. Very happy with my seat for this show.

Wife and I have aisle seats in the same section, just a couple rows behind you.

We'll have to meet up and say "hey!" It's always good to put faces to the screen names...

I will be there. I am definately looking forward to seeing them in a smaller type of venue. Plus I am taking my 11 year old son with me who is completely psyched and can't wait as it is his first "real"* concert.

*That Selena Gomez concert at the MD State Fair didnt count, plus it was for my 7yo daughter.

Meet and Greet?  Very nice.

This should be a cool venue for the show.  Warner is pretty compact; there really isn't a bad seat in the house.

Only thing I've ever seen at Warner was the Blue Man Group.  I think the layout of the venue will make the show seem a bit more "intimate" for lack of a better term.

I'm there! Taking my girl for her 1st DT concert. Can't wait for the simple fact that it's a smaller venue.

Having a hard time selling these tickets, and I don't know why!

Probably because people who want to go and can go (mid-week shows limit this particularly) already bought tickets.  If it's not sold out, you might have to go significantly less than face value for them.

Hello everyone. I am so pumped for this show.

Does anyone know of a good bar nearby the theater to grab a few drinks before the show?

Thanks!

Gordon Biersch is 4 blocks from the theater, I can vouch for that.  There are closer ones, but I haven't been to any of them.

If you're a beer fan, RFD is a decent spot too.  Granted it's a walk, but not TOO bad.

The wife and I will be having dinner over at Hill Country BBQ before the show (I know one of the managers working that night).

Got the fan package, have a seat within the first 10 rows. Very excited  This will be my second time seeing DT, the first being the Iron Maiden/DT Show.
