Top 50 Albums

Okay I entered this thing to do my top 50 albums so lets jump right into this...

1 Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell

In all honestly, this is the greatest album ever simply because the intensity of the guitar combined with the epicness of Ronnie James Dio's vocals.
This combination only adds to the tone of the album with tracks such as Children of the Sea and Die Young

2 AC/DC - Back in Black

All killer, no filler. Nuff said.

3 Rush - 2112

A damn master piece, I cannot name the number of times I have listened to this album stoned off of my ass

4 Megadeth - Rust in Peace

If you want thrash you got it with this one. There is no better speed metal album.

5 The Faceless - Akeldama

Brutal technical death metal, very in your face but it backs off right when you want it to.

6 The Black Dahlia Murder - Nocturnal

Melodic death metal at its best, what can I say.

7 Dethklok - The Dethalbum II

I almost put this one as number 6, but I decided to make it number 7 for one reason: the vocals aren't as good.

8 Children of Bodom - Bloodddrunk

The perfect combination of thrash metal and melodic death metal.

9 Metallica - Master of Puppets

The only metallica album with solos that I can tolerate.

10 Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction

Emotional, brutal, etc

11 Queen - Greatest Hits

All of the most influential classic rock songs on one CD.

12 Deep Purple - Machine Head
13 Iron Butterfly - In Da Gadda Da Vida
14 The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced?
15 Pink Floyd - The Wall
16 KISS - Destroyer
17 Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast

There's many things wrong here. :lol

1. There is a waiting list for these Top 50 thingie. It's in the stickied thread OP.

2. Normally people give like 3-4 albums for each updates. Not all of once.

3. Usually there is some kind of write-ups going with each album too.

I'm very confused, why would there be a waiting list?

and I guess I can give a short sentence or two about each album.

The waiting-list is there because a lot of people wants to do a list like this, but if everyone post it at the same time, not many people will be bothered reading the threads, because it will be a lot to take in at once.
With just a few running at the time, they get more attention and more posts, and that in the end is a good thing, because it's interesting to hear what other people think.

Normally people post the list backwards and with a few each time, for example 5 in each post, and then maybe less when it reaches the top10 or so, normally having long write-ups for each pick, and maybe even slightly longer write ups for the high picks.
The reason for this is again, if you post all choices at once, it will just be a lot to take in, and people will just read the top picks, and forget all about the lower ones.
The reason for write ups is that.. in the end, people don't really care much about why an album is nr2 or an album is nr15, they're interested in WHY you think the album are where they are, and the write ups take care of that.

So yeah, nothing rude, but just how it normally works. :)

Not really, but yeah. What you've read above is basically a run-down for how things work around here. It's best to read stickies and such before making a thread, it really does save time and embarrassment.

Thankfully I never had to go through any of that.
