Metallica - And Justice For All. Despite the awful mix, it's still an awesome album.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Metallica by a coin flip. Interestingly, I saw Queensryche open for Metallica on the Justice tour. Great show  :metal

I love both, but Operation: Mindcrime is one of the greatest albums ever. ...And Justice for All isn't even Metallica's best album.

Sure, but there is no rule that says one good band's 2nd or 3rd best album can't be better than another good band's best album. ;)

Personally, I don't consider either album the best by the two bands.  Those albums would be Master of Puppets and Promised Land.

Having said all that, Mindcrime was the easy vote for me.

Mindcrime. A top 3 of All Time. Metallica have nothing that comes close to the awesomeness that is Suite Sister Mary.

If anything I'd say it's underrated. It always gets forgotten after the overratedness (I know it's not a word, but it's easier than trying to word that another way) of Puppets and the shitty bass mix, but in many ways I think it was the peak of their songwriting in that style before changing it up for Black Album.

AJFA is my third favorite album of all time, truly a masterpiece, but I knew from the start that Queensryche would win. I don't mind, Metallica had already had one victory.

I can't agree with that.  ...AJFA "always" gets forgotten?  Hardly.  I almost always see it getting props as supposedly being their 2nd or 3rd best album (or even their best by a portion of the fanbase).  If you think it is better than MoP, that is one thing, but to suggest that it always gets forgotten seems way off.

You're right, that was crap wording on my part. Obviously it's not a forgotten album by any stretch, or it wouldn't have made it to this round. More specifically I meant it always takes the backseat to MoP for the higher spots, when I personally consider the two fairly comparable. To me AJFA seems to be less unanimously loved as MoP. I don't know what the actual figures on that are, I just feel it's definitely not overrated.
