I like a good breakdown in the right context.  I don't like Metalcore bands that use the same generic sounding breakdowns in every song.  Eww.

Breakdowns can be excellent when done right. Unfortunately, one of the only bands who get it seems to be Sepultura before Max left.

I never thought Lamb of God and perfect would be in the same sentence together.
Don't get me wrong, I think Lamb of God is alright, but they are very very generic groove metal. I dig their grooves and breakdowns for sure, and Chris Adler is a beast, but I think they are far from "perfect" by any stretch of the imagination.
