Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

Candlemass- Tales of Creation
Morbid Angel- Altars of Madness
Exodus - Fabulous Disaster
Sepultura - Beneath the Remains
Rush - Presto
Fabulous Disaster is an '88 unfortunately :C  But I'm glad I'm not the only one with Morbid Angel.  Sometimes I feel like the extreme spectrum is too small of a group.
EDIT: WIKI lied to me, and I went and double checked, you're in the right.

Actually fuck what I just said.  I went and double checked cause when I was finding bands to nominate last night Wiki said Fabulous was 88.
My cd case says '89.
Sorry!

Nah it has no shot of winning. Nine Inch Nails needs help too so I'll stick with them.

Nine Inch Nails--Pretty Hate Machine
Tesla--Great Radio Controversy
Savatage--Gutter Ballet
Skid Row--Skid Row
WASP--Headless Children

In a year when many of the "big guns" of hard rock & heavy metal were either on hiatus, in the studio or on tour, this gave a chance for some of the newer bands and the lesser known bands to shine.
