Here's a band I'm fairly confident that you'll like: Nightingale. Try them out-- https://grooveshark.com/#/s/Atlantis+Rising/3fozfA?src=5

I am now, hated them with a passion as a kid.  We used to refer to them as 'posin'.

A progtastic modern band you'd probably adore is Frost*. They are just such a fun band to listen to. All the right riffs in all the right places. Milliontown (the album) is a masterpiece.

Try finding Hyperventilate (awesome instrumental) and Black Light Machine if you're interested.

I like it, the singer will take some getting used to.  Great intro though.

Not bad, I could get used to them.

3 piece band.  All three also sing. Top 5 band for me and a bit different for what's on the board.

Holy shit!  Another Arena fan!  I thought I was the only one.
Contagion and The Visitor are so freaking awesome.

You know what, a few fucktards will give me shit for this...but they're fucktards.  Shadow Gallery.  I can't see you not liking them based on your tastes.  I drove 8 hours and stayed at Nick's place to see their only live show in the Western Hemisphere.

Or, if you want prog metal that's actually good, check out Evergrey. Lead singer Tom Englund's voice isn't what you'd expect from a prog metal band, but it's filled with emotion and passion, and I think you could dig them. The lyrics are very dark and moody.

Mr. I-Stick-My-Finger-in-Electrical-Sockets-to-Style-My-Hair is right on this one account, but that doesn't give him a free pass on his life of sin here.

But Evergrey is really good.  Start with Recreation Day, and don't listen to ariich when he tells you otherwise.

I've listened to Shadow Gallery. I liked only a couple of their songs and the rest didn't really do anything for me. But hey, 2 Arena fans. We can have a party!

Zander can style his hair however he wants -- because it's still the Sex.

Evergrey is really good.

I have no opinion on Shadow Gallery; never heard them.

Also, weren't we supposed to be giving you info on bands you heard on Pandora that you were curious about?  Seems like we're all just recommending stuff to you now.  Have you run a roulette yet?  That would get you a lot of new stuff for sure.
