I'm happy about it, because now my local rock station will have to find a new song to play. :D

I don't like hearing this, Disturbed are a great band. This in my opinion is a premature departure for them.

I absolutely despise them.

But with that said it's never cool to see bands break up.

I'm glad. They used to be my favorite band, but they turned into another rehash band. Hopefully whenever they come back, a creative spark will have united and we'll get some better music out of them.

Not sure about leasing the band name though. That's pretty lame. We don't some hardcore band taking over with the name and releasing shittier music.

They're leasing the BRAND name of the Music As A Weapon tour. Not their band name. Silly Zook. :p

I'm okay with this happening, seeing as Asylum wasn't that good and maybe when they come back they can up their game again.

I did enjoy Indestructible, but yeah, Asylum had about three or four good songs on it. Sad to see this happen, but oh well.

10K Fists and Indestructable were amazing.  Asylum was pretty weak.  This is a bit of a surprise really.

Well, I hope if they do come back, they start making better music. Their last 2 albums were pretty stale.

About time. They were quickly becoming the AC/DC of poorly done metal.

I liked some early Disturbed. It was the first music I kind of discovered on my own

Actually my next door neighbor turned me on to it, but still,

Even though it lasted like... 6 months and I never listened to them after that

Ok, but really, The Sickness was cool. I listened to a couple of tracks from Believe and liked Liberate. At the time, that's all they had out, so I haven't heard any music from them after that, other than one song from the album after Believe. But since people are saying all of their new music is the same thing, I guess it's not all that sad news.

Early Disturbed was great because it was nu-metal.  Their change of sound was their death knell.  Not to say I'm against bands that change their sound on principle, but I feel like they just failed at it.

I used to dig these guys. Dug Ten Thousand Fists, Indestructable, and a few songs off The Sickness and Believe. Asylum was pretty awful though.

The Sickness through TTF = :metal :metal

Indestructible =  :|

I still haven't listened to the entire disc.  I have no desire to subject myself to such drudgery.

Indestructible had The Night and a couple other cool songs. Mostly filler though. Asylum=all filler, except the hidden U2 cover.

For me, Indestructible and Asylum feel like the same album, except all the good songs got dumped on one disc and all the filler got dumped on the other. Except for the opening instrumental and the title track, I love them.

Yeah, the only two songs I actually liked were The Night and Inside the Fire.

Also, the album version of Perfect Insanity isn't *bad* but it really loses all the magic of the original.

Yeah all the life and energy were sucked right out of the remake of Perfect Insanity. I wish the original had better quality.
