I preordered this. Got it for $26. It's both albums and the live album. Comes with a book too, so that's pretty damn good for the price.

Last opening act in Stroudsburg is finishing up, I've prepared my body.

Back from an awesome show. Not that anyone should expect anything less now that the two has started, but...

***spoilers***

The Pros:
-I've always heard Coheed fans know their shit, and even in what is far from a major music market like Stroudsburg, PA the crowd helped make the show what it was.
-Josh. He is such a great asset to this band. His groove and feel is absolutely perfect for Coheed.
-Claudio was on fire all night in every department.
-The early material, which I'm usually not overly thrilled about came across awesome live, just as it does on Neverender.
-They ended the set with a brilliant rendition of Keeping Secrets, my favorite from the first two albums.
-Goodnight, Fair Lady was a big surprise and really well done.
-Vic the Butcher. Best performance of the evening.
-Welcome Home. Sounded fantastic, especially the solos.

Cons:
-Welcome Home. As good as it was, it took up space in the setlist that could have gone to a song I won't have a billion chances to see in the future.
-No Domino. I typically would never expect to hear certain songs and then be disappointed, but with this being the lead single from the pair of albums I thought for sure they would play it and was anxiously waiting for the intro all night, but it never came.
-1h20m set. Now that the government is back to work they should get on a bill that headliner's have to play at least 90 minutes. And frankly even that would leave me feeling a little short changed. I don't think 2 hours of music is too much to ask for.

MOTHER FUCKER.

The one time I buy a shirt at a show and don't put it on... idiot at the merch guy gave me a medium instead of an XL.

I bought the shirt with the darkened cover art on the front and dates on the back. I paid $25, but will sell if for $20 shipped if anyone here wants it, no way am I fitting inside.

I was sad they didn't play Domino for Uproar.  I thought that'd be a way better closer than Welcome Home.

I say they retire Welcome Home, and instead play Domino as the closer.

Anyone? Would love this shirt to just go to someone here rather than deal with the hassle of ebay. I'd even go down to $17.

Can you post a pic or two of it, possibly one that shows how big it is in relation to the human body.

I don't have anybody here that will fit properly in this right now, but I can have my gf do it Friday if that would help. For now here are some pics.

I cannot get over how much I love Decension. Might possibly be my favourite C&C album, although the Apollos do come quite close.

Upcoming tour, with Thank You Scientist. They're going to be playing IKSSE:3, in full, from what I understand. Looks pretty cool, I may try to catch a show if it's not too inconvenient.

That's exactly what I was just thinking. They might as well have named it the House of Blues tour.

Not really psyched they're playing the House of Blues in my city, I don't really like the venue since they bar a lot of metal bands from playing and fuck up a lot of tour bills that way.

I'll probably be at that show as well. I passed on the last two times they played in NYC and I really regretted it. And the fact that they're playing my favorite C&C album will make my first time seeing them sweeter!  :metal

Totally lost interest after they released the Year of the Black Rainbow. Their music seems to have lost the edge I liked on Apollo IV and NWFT.

FWIW, a lot of people (myself included) were relatively uninterested in Year of the Black Rainbow. The Afterman, however, was a BIG step up from that. I wholeheartedly believe that it's the best album(s) they have ever released, and that's coming from someone who also really enjoys Apollo IV and NWFT. In fact, I'd be much more interested in a show of those albums played in full.

I may try to get to the Boston show, even though I'm not a huge fan of C&C. The only album of theirs I've listened to is the one they're playing, so I'd be familiar with a significant portion of the set. I've seen Thank You Scientist a few times live and they are fantastic, so it might be worth going just to see them again.

Soo I'm not really familiar with Coheed and how popular they are- do they normally sell out shows quickly? My friend said a lot of the VIP packages and things were selling out and that I should get my tickets ASAP. I would like to just walk to the venue after work tomorrow to avoid paying a bunch of extra fees.

They have a pretty rabid fan base, in smaller venues, especially if those venues are in decent markets, I'd expect rather quick sellouts.

Pretty sure they've been selling out the Ogden the last 4 times or so they've played there.  Which is why I said I'm glad they realize they can move up to a bigger venue.  I'm not sure how to judge this show with it being a bigger venue.  I don't expect it will sell out but I could be wrong.

The only Prog-related show I can think of that was at the Fillmore that sold out was Primus.  But I think Primus has a bigger fan base.
