im so sick of welcome home but it still kills live

there was one dude in a trenchcoat who sat there all set and then went nuts when they started playing it. then proceeded to pull out what looked like a gameboy to film it
Was it a Nokia N-Gage?!?!?!

You were at the Boston show too right?

yep second night

im so sick of welcome home but it still kills live

that would actually be pretty baller. im pretty sure it was a ds, but i havent owned a gameboy since the color came out forever ago, so i have no idea what they are capable of these days

just brought it up cause there are definitely a percentage of people who are only into that song and not much else.

anyway, i really liked having a favor house atlantic early in the set, the place went nuts

Good Apollo Vol. 1 or In Keeping Secrets are probably your best bet. Though the new double album (Afterman: Ascension and Descension) are among their best work as well.

Definitely... I think the best place to start is Good Apollo Vol. 1. I still think The Willing Well I and II are the best songs Coheed has to offer to this day.
Yes yes yes. The Willing Well II has been my favourite Coheed song since I heard Good Apollo I for the first time (which was the first time I heard an entire album of theirs, actually. 8 times in one day :lol)

Also Welcome Home is as good as it was since I first heard it.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

Yes yes yes. The Willing Well II has been the best Coheed song since ever.

Fixed that for you.

So how's everyone liking The Afterman album since it's been out for a good while? I love it

It's a collection of Coheed's best songs for sure, but not quite their best album.

Both albums of The Afterman are incredible.

An excellent addition to an already excellent catalog of work.

Indeed they are.

I got into CaC with Year of The Black Rainbow so I've focused the most on these latest albums. The Afterman albums especially have really grown on me, great stuff. I'm looking forward to sitting down and digesting their earlier stuff, if I can find the time to actually do it.  :)

So I heard about Coheed and Cambria when their new album came out. I checked out one song, couldn't stand the vocals, and didn't listen to any other songs.

I'm listening to Ascension right now, though, and it's awesome.  :metal Don't know what happened last time.

It's a collection of Coheed's best songs for sure, but not quite their best album.

This.  When you're dealing with Coheed, you have to remember their first four albums don't have a single bad song on them.

How would y'all rank the Key Entity Extractions?

Evagria the Faithful
Domino the Destitute
Vic the Butcher
Sentry the Defiant
Holly Wood the Cracked

I love them all, but Evagria is just amazing. My favorite song from the whole Afterman album

Saddens me to see Vic relatively low in the Key Entity Rankings:

Vic
Sentry
Domino
Evagria
Holly Wood

Is this deluxe set really $20? Or is that just the live CD?

With it being 3 discs and just being called The Afterman, I just assumed it was the two albums plus a live concert. Could be wrong though.
