I actually got an email about this.

I'd love to go, but I have a wedding to go to that weekend.

I cannot save the dates, as I do not know what they are.  Someone forgot to include them in his original post.

Your next gig is a year and two months from now?  Well, a gig's a gig.

if for some reason I am in Ohio at that time... I will be there :lol
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Oh come on, it's called Ohio Prog.  It wouldn't make sense to have it in some other state.

Of all the places to have a prog festival, Ohio is the absolute last state I would pick. There's going to be 20 people there.

Last state? Really? What about Alaska? Or Hawaii? Or Wyoming? Or Utah? Or Wisconsin?

I was going to defend my home state, but with the dipshit governor pushing the state backwards, it's probably going to end up like Wyoming, so I"m not saying anything right now

Salt Lake City's mayor has a national Dream Theater day. That's a start.

Ohio is just the worst state ever though.

I see that you've never met our neighbor, Indiana. It's basically the north's ill convieved attempt at alabama.

+1

Apart from Indy and Chicago (I mean NW Indiana), it's all cornfields and country music here.

There's that stretch of I-65 with all the windmills.  Those are pretty cool.  My wife and I were driving down I-65 at night last year and every one of those windmills has a red flashing light on top, and they're really tall and you can see them for miles.  It was surreal driving through that.

I saw an area of southern Illinois like that (on I-74).  A windmill farm from miles away is a very awesome thing to see.
