Alrighty then! I only have a couple of things to show and they're a little old, but here ya go!

"Still Fear" (short narrative)
"RAN" (experimental short)
Beyond the limits of the mortal frame
To the farthest boundary of eternity
Where I, the Cosmic Sea
Watch the little ego floating in me.

The editor that put together the book with my short stories found a publisher. So, it looks like things are finally starting to happen with this.

I've been dark for a while, but I hope you guys like what I made recently:

Nice painting! When you do a piece like that do you already have a plan of what you're going to do or do just go with the flow?

The editor that put together the book with my short stories found a publisher. So, it looks like things are finally starting to happen with this.

It sounds awesome! I'm really happy for you. :D

And here's two painting I've made recently

And the next one, which is NSFW (Since the thread title contains NSFW I'm assuming it's okay to post it. Let me know if I'm wrong though.) was made for a challenge on an art forum I visit. The theme was ''Radioactive'' but I ended up making something that look more like ''Toxic'' or something.

All train of thought, and thank you! :)
I used to do a lot of pre-made sketches before I started painting, but the original would always get lost in transition. It never turned out the same, and that bummed me out. Now, I think it's more important to capture the moment than make it perfect, and hopefully it shows.

Hey guys! It's been forever since I had a chance to post, I've been incredibly busy finishing up certain certifications and requirements as well as interviewing and whatnot. Here's some work that I've been creating in the past few months-- I also finally had my first /actual/ professional art show (not counting ones held during college).

Hey Heretic! Congrats for your art show! Also great work on those pieces. I especially like the three ones towards the end. I'm talking about the bearded gentleman's head, the sitting naked man and the thinking hooded man. They look almost sculptural if that makes sense.

Here's some stuff I did during the past month or so.

Fun with inks.

Random portrait that turned into a crazy cave entrance.

This one's a sketch I ended up liking a lot so I colored it in Photoshop.

And the thing I spent most of my time on this past month

Outside of large scale masking and RC truck bodies, I've never really painted anything, and I certainly never tried painting with a brush on canvas. Decided to follow along with Bob Ross the other night.

Nice! You definitely got the Bob Ross-ness in those paintings. And those trucks you did look really good too!

I've been working on a comic lately. I was mainly inspired by Kentaro Miura and Junji Ito, so it's some light and happy stuff... I don't really have much of an idea of what I'm really doing as it's the first time I'm doing a comic, but here's a page I did (I just need to add text)

I'm digging it. Can't wait to see more :)

I can't tell how this was made. It looks like a straightforward sketch, but the edges around the neck and head seem digitally blended. Elaborate?

Face drawn traditionally, scanned and digitally placed on a black background, hair drawn digitally with a tablet, edges blended.

Is that middle one designed to be video game art? It would look so awesome in a game.
Love the first pic too, with the badass robot, and the limited palette.

@Heretic: As usual, pretty awesome stuff! I love the robot design and storytelling aspect of the first one.

Here's 4 illustrations I did that got published in a book of novellas (I think that's the proper word).

Verbes Irréguliers (Irregular Verbs)
The story that this illustration is for is about a man who doesn't want to forget about his deceased wife.

La Pierre d'Érčbe (The Stone of Érčbe)
I'm pretty happy happy with the look of the fabrics with all those folds. That's when you realize the usefulness of taking your own photo references. (Yes I have a photo of myself posing as an old lady wrapped in layers of fabrics XD)

Isti Mirant Stella
The story that this illustration was made for is written as a sort of personnal diary written by a man named Léon. This journal tells the events of the few months following the announcement that the Earth will pass through a comet's tail.

De l'Art Comme Folie Collective (Art As Collective Madness)
To be honest, the story that this picture goes with was pretty... weird XD. I had a difficult time to find how to represent it, so I went with a scene at the start where the main character arrives at a train station where there's an eclectic crowd. Certain people are fairly normal while others,  as you can see, are a bit strange.

I really love the last one! There are some really cool characters in there, I love how no one seems normal once you look at it a bit closer.

Haven't posted in a while, but here's something I did recently:

Thanks a ton Blob! I'm actually working on a game project on the side, a dark fantasy-type game, but it's still pretty under wraps. We're looking for an animator, so if you know anyone... :D

I'm also working on this pixel art of the Elite Knight from Dark Souls:

I love this. When you start something like this, do you have a rough idea of what you want the finished product to look like? Like when you started, did you say to yourself "I want two heads merged at the back of their skulls with gamma ray bursts coming out of their eyes", or do you just start touching the canvas and see what you come up with?

Thanks! I'm glad you do. I also really like that last painting you've posted. I like how the background texture almost look like stone or something like that. It make it seems like you've painted this somewhere on a cave wall!

So in the past month or so I've been doing something I wanted to do for a while, which is work on a comic. I was inspired by an idea I guy I watch on youtube had and started working on it. I'm still new to this, so things like the layouts and other thibgs specific to this medium might not be too great. But I hope I'll improve over time.

So, to not clutter this thread to much, here's the opening page, with a link below to read what I have done so far.

I used to draw a lot as a kid, but since getting a computer (and a graphics tablet) I've never once just tried to draw more than a rough sketch, so I decided to give it a proper try.
This is copied from a photo (not traced or anything), not off the top of my head. Spent 6 hours on it so far. Still a WIP, especially the body and hair.

Okay so this isn't the normal kind of thing here but I didn't want to make a new thread for it. My work just started a contest where sales reps make a video, and the winner gets some cash or something. This is a quick video shot in 5 minutes while I was at work, so don't be too hard on it.

tl;dr - worked asked for video, I made one in style of genital herpes commercial. I still need to adjust the narration volume, but this is pretty close to where I want it.

I made a second video for work and we all agreed it was the better one. I submitted it, and it ended up being one of the winners! They picked about 15 out of 300 submissions. One per store. Out of those 15, a grand prize winner will be picked on Tuesday.

Sorry if it's advertise-y

As for me, here are some of the stuff I did lately

And I've also been continuing this comic I've posted a while back. I've switch from a purely digital approach to a mix between traditional medias and digital. I'm still getting used to inking with a dip pen, I'm having a lot of fun. Here's one of the page I did before I added the digital effects

@Heretic: Thanks! As for your work, it's pixel art, right? I really find it amazing how intricate it is.

Here's a comic cover idea for my comic. I'm not totally set on it, but I do like the overall aesthetic.
