So it seems like I have not posted in over a year, even almost two. So I won't post all I did, I still want to share a few of my favorite work I made since then!

I'm actualy surprised it's digital. It looks so much like it's done with colored pencils to me. I'm guessing you managed to find a brush that really mimics that look and texture, but it still blows my mind! Great job man 

Thanks! The makers of Procreate have blown everything out of the water when it comes to replicating traditional media on digital. They have utilized the Apple Pencil in such a way that it's the most natural stylus drawing I have ever used. The brushes are damn near limitless; what you get along with the app is immense, there are a lot of packs you can download or purchase, but most importantly, the brush creation engine is ridiculously granular. The level of precision and control is, in my experience, unsurpassed. It allows me to combine the strengths I possess in digital with the skills I have in traditional and create in a way I haven't before with the two isolated.

The more I work with it, the more "tricks" I learn; I actually use very few of the more complex digital effects available in Procreate, but the basics (blend modes, layers, etc.) have allowed me to experiment more with traditional techniques to create depth and texture.

@Hyperplex Yeah, those pieces are pretty nice! It's definitely amazing and very interesting what can be done now on tablets. It blows my mind!

Here's a currentt work in progress. It's an acrylic painting on a 16 inches by 20  inches canvas. It's bigger than what I usually work on.

So I present you Oscart, also known as Shortail or the bipedal beaver. He was born with an abnormal short tail, but in return he gained the abilty to walk on two legs. He uses his unusual abilty to protect his fellow forest dwellers from all those who want to get their hands on the mystical Maple Elixir which is harvested by the dwarf bears.





Since I made it last minute, I'm still going to work on it because I think it's a fun illustration and I think it will be worth it

These are three of my more recent creations. The Dark Trooper was really just a fuckabout that I only spent a couple hours on. Isn't my favorite but isn't my worst either.
I am in the pre-infant stages of a new composition that right now only exists in my mind.

I saw a few pieces that were using stippling/dotwork and I thought it looked cool, so I wanted to try that technique as I don't think I ever did before. This was the result. I learned that while it gives nice results, it's really tedious

So I bought a Samsung tab s7 for myself relatively recently so that I could basically easily draw anywhere. I really like it. Being able to draw directly on the screen and having pen tilt sensibility in addition to being portable are things I didn't know I was missing with my small wacom tablet

Here's the finished painting made in acrylics on a 12 by 16 inches hardboard panel. The colors of the scan don't quite match the original as I a had a real hard time adjusting them all properly, but hopefully it gets the idea across
