Album of the Year 1985 - nomination phase
« on: July 26, 2011, 09:35:06 AM »
Rules:
-Post your 5 favorite albums from 1985; the order does not matter.  If you only like less than 5, list those.  Just no more than 5.
-List the band name first and then the album name.  Like this: Band name - Album name
-If you change your mind, edit your original post.  Do not post them again.
-Only studio and live albums will be counted; no best of, compilations, etc.
-Posts that you do not follow these rules will not be counted.

Nomination phase will last two days.

Welcome to the Real World isn't the perfect 80s pop-rock album-that'd be Chicago 17-but it's pretty damn close.

That album is amazing... it also is a huge part of my childhood.  My dad played that album ALL THE TIME.  Seriously underrated.  Broken Wings doesn't even come close to being the best song on the album.  Black/White, Uniform of Youth... these guys were BEASTS musically.

Rush should slam dunk this round, and  rightly so. First of their albums I bought, and first tour I saw them on, so Ill show respect for three other albums that defined that year for me...

Maiden- Live after Death(one of the best live albums ever)

and two that sold me on prog...

Marillion-Misplaced Childhood
I.Q. - The Wake
