Fuck yes!!  Two Fires is a great one, probably my fav Barnsey record after Freight Train Heart. Barnestorming was an excellent live album too.
Agreed - 'Freight Train Heart' was also a really solid record. That period overall was great for Barnesy releases, actually. Unfortunately he sort of lost momentum after that, but eh, I still enjoy the stuff that he puts out. There were actually a few off of 'Out in the Blue' which I absolutely love (the title track, "Blue Hotel" and "Red Light" (I abhor "When Two Hearts Collide", though... eugh))

Out of interest, you haven't heard his newest release, have you?

First CD I bought was Metallica - DM :p
Hey, I bought that one last week. It was probably my 250th album or so :D.

Nah mate, I heavn't really followed his last couple of outputs.  I do want to check out Rage and Ruin since it's suppose to be a return to his rock style.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

My first CD was a Styx greatest hits album. Got it as a present. The first album I ever bought was Iron Maiden's Killers.

How prominent is Schon on this album?  It's one of the few albums he's on that I haven't heard.
Um, I couldn't really tell you. He's one of four guitarists on the album, so I'm sure he would have been pushed into the background to some degree. However, I don't know just how prominent he is on the album; I'd have to go back, listen to it again, and look into it.

Meh, solid album. Nickelback don't deserve half the shit they get, their just the "cool" band to hate.
Yes, thank you, I absolutely agree. I will actually admit to liking Nickelback and to having a couple of their albums in my collection. Why? Because I think the band just writes some pretty good rock songs. I mean, they're not really amazing musicians (well, their drummer actually sort of is), but it doesn't mean I can't get enjoyment out of the music that they write. I think that the reason for all of the hate is, a) because it's cool to hate them (as ACID_FOX said), and b) because all that anybody really judges them off are their singles, which are almost invariably boring or just plain crappy. But on their albums, I find that they've actually got some pretty enjoyable material.

Hmm, Styx...

I'd like to get some of their albums, well the ones that don't suck.

So which of their albums are your most favorites (this query goes out to all)?

This is coming from a person who doesn't find Mr. Roboto very good and enjoys Come Sail Away a lot, though I cannot hear it without laughing my ass off, due to the singer guy sounding like Spongebob.   :lol

Alright, I'm waiting for it to finish dling off of iTunes as I speak.  I hope it's really good, and if it isn't I'll rape you.  Actually, I'll rape you no matter how I end up feeling about the album.

I look forward to it.

Oh and Fooling Yourself is the sole reason I highly recommend that album. No song ever made me feel better about the world when I was an angry 12 year old than that song. It's so wonderful.

That was a wicked song (and movie)!

Can`t remember my first vinyl album... but it was probably something outlandishly poppy from the early-mid 80s.  Perhaps Wham, or Duran Duran... I remember those from my record collection.
First CD I ever bought was DLR - Eat `em and Smile.

My first album?

In all seriousness-Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles was the first album I ever owned. The second? Foreigner's Head Games.

Yeah I'm at a loss to explain that one too  :rollin
