Fuck yes!!  Two Fires is a great one, probably my fav Barnsey record after Freight Train Heart. Barnestorming was an excellent live album too.
Agreed - 'Freight Train Heart' was also a really solid record.
How prominent is Schon on this album?  It's one of the few albums he's on that I haven't heard.

My first CD by a specific artist (not counting a few compilations/soundtracks I had) was All Killer No Filler by Sum 41. I got it some time around my 10th birthday.

Hehehe.

I'm pretty sure Human Clay was my first CD and my first Casette. Second would be Everclear- So Much for the Afterglow.

Human Clay's still a pretty cool album, actually :P

First album overall that I called my own was probably some Weird Al album on cassette when I was like 8.  Maybe Dare to Be Stupid?  Was that the name of an album or just a song?  Can't remember.  Then I got a bunch of early '90s r&b/hip-hop stuff.  Bel Biv Devoe, MC Hammer and the like.  I saw someone in this thread mention Cooleyhighharmony by Boyz II Men.  I had that one for sure.  First rock album was either Nirvana's Nevermind or Metallica (black album), also on cassette.  First CD was Temple of the Dog in '92 or '93.  I wish I knew what happened to that, it's an awesome album!

My grandmother bought me Backstreet Boys - Millennium when I was 7 or 8.

The first album I ever bought myself was Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory when I was about 12.

Damn, KISS is a pretty good start.

Almost as good as the B-Street Boys.

The first one I got for my 6th birthday from my dad. It was a disc called 'The best of the 50's - 80's'. Featured were songs like Lollipop, The Holiday Rap, La Bamba AND Paranoid by Black Sabbath!

First real albums were 'No Limit' by Dutch eurodance group 2 Unlimited, and 'Nevermind' and 'SMASH', respectively by Nirvana and The Offspring.
Not 'Down To F***', but 'Dream Theater Forums' .

Well, NY Dolls, yes.  Metal Health came out JUST barely before Shout at the Devil.  On Too Fast for Love they weren't all glammy-glam yet, were they?  Maybe so.

I remember my first CDs, they were copies my brother gave me because he bought them legally.

In listening order:

Radiohead - OK Computer
The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Feeder - Echo Park

My brother taught me well.

Smashing...Live!
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. G. Sertillanges
