In all seriousness-Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles was the first album I ever owned. The second? Foreigner's Head Games.

It does, but I'm not really sure how I got to the weakest of the first four Foreigner albums from there myself!

First album I got for Christmas was Michael Jacksons Bad on tape.
First CD when I got a CD player for Christmas was Aerosmiths Get a Grip.
First CD with my own money was replacing my worn out tape of GnR Appetite for Destruction.

Hey Lat, I felt the same exact way about Fooling Yourself when I was 12ish. One of the first songs to touch my emotional side so completly. :tup

First album acquired was a compilation put together by the local radio station and it had stuff like Candlebox's Far Behind, Green Day's Basket Case, Porno For Pyros' Pets, Revolting Cocks' Crackin Up, some song by MC 900 Foot Jesus, and Adam Sandler's Buddy. Strange if it was a mixtape made by some random person...astoundingly weird when you consider it was put together by a Clear Channel radio station that seemingly stood to make virtually no money off any but three of the artists on it. My guess is they were more open-minded to unestablished acts in the wake of grunge's unexpected conquering of glam.

First CD purchased was Ace of Base's Beautiful Life single.

First full album CD purchased was Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadeness.

First non-double CD album purchased was Metallica's Load.

4-_.  I did one of those 10-albums-for-a-penny, or 12 albums, or whatever it was, and got a bunch.  I can't remember them all, but it included Van Halen - I; Journey - Escape; Fleetwood Mac - Rumors; Toni Basil - Word of Mouth; and others I can't remember...
