Bootlegged, so yeah. Quality's obviously bad.

Anyway. Isn't Peter Parker supposed to be a pretty happy-go-lucky guy?

I remember reading that they saw him as a social outcast and updated that concept.

I like the trailer. I'm looking forward to the film. I enjoy the first trilogy but I'm certainly curious to see where a new team takes the material.

I still have no idea why they're rebooting the series. But okay.

Not sure how good it''s going to be...

Because no one involved from the first 3 films were going to be involved. And clearly the tone and direction are completely different. I for one am all for it. As much of a Raimi fan I am, his wacky slapstick sense of humor bugged me at times. I tend to prefer comic movies that are straight, as I see them as heightened drama. Granted, the previous Spider-Man film had a fair balance of humor with the serious stuff, but I'm curious to see what another filmmaker does with it. We shall see.

This appears to be the part people liked the most :P

I doubt there will be much of that in the film. This is probably the only shot. Hell, it might be just for the trailer (although I doubt it as the cgi cost must've been through the roof for it).

Because Raimi wanted to take a break and if Sony didn't release a film by 2012, the movie rights reverted back to Marvel.

The Spider-Man comics are full of humor! Not as much as a Deadpool one, but there is still a lot of humor in those comics.

The ending reminded me strongly of Mirrors Edge.
However, this trailer made me even more excited, and this is my most anticipated movie next year.

I heard they did the reboot because they wouldn't let Raimi do dick. He wanted to bring in classic villains and Sony said no. Basically left him with no one to use. So he finally walked. And the majority of the cast went with him.

I haven't been excited for the reboot at all. First, it's based much more off of the Ultimate side of comics. And second, it seems it's going to be pretty hipster. They got the director of 500 Days of Summer. Which is one of the most beloved of hipster romances. I think Andrew Garfield was either in that, or some other hipster movies. And I haven't been able to stand Emma Stone since Easy A.

From the cast, choice of director, and what I can see from this trailer, it's probably going to be The Amazing Hipster-Man. Dark and brooding and aloof. About how he's so misunderstood :(

From the trailer, it honestly didnt interest/grab me. I have nothing against the reboot or anything, but it just doesnt capture me. At least not yet.

Maybe as it gets closer and more is seen, it'll grab me.

I liked that about the first two films because the Spider-Man comics were filled with humor, and it would usually distract his enemies into doing something stupid.

I'm with Volk, the trailer didn't grab me at all, and that first-person thing isn't cool at all.

That first person thing reminded of the Doom (movie) FPS sequence and Mirror's Edge and I found it completely unnecessary.

When they did it in Doom it was hilarious though.  Especially since the movie as a whole is an utter crap-fest.

I think people over analyse the PoV-sequence.

For starters, it is probably just in the first scene when Peter is using his costume for the first time, secondly, there's really no guarantee that the scene will even be in the movie when it comes.
But again, flaming something because of a short sample long before it comes has always been the true spirit of the internet.

Or lots of people think a first-person perspective in movies is stupid and don't like it, and are worried that the sequence will be in the movie because its unlikely they'd spend all that CGI money for that scene just for a trailer.
Or it could just be people on the Internet flaming something without thought.  Yes that must be it.

I'm looking forward to it.

I know they went out of their way to make the physical stuff more based in reality, and actually greatly limited down the amount of CGI in the film with real life stunts.

The trailer was pretty bad though.

I hope the new movie(s) will be able to stay more "true" to the comics, even though I enjoyed the first three movies, this certainly can't be worse. :)

What would be cool, had marvel made this movie, is that they show Peter's parents being killed by Red Skull just for crossover's sake. Sure it probably wouldn't flow or work for that matter, but I want my Spider-man crossover damnit!
