Metal Church has written some great riffs...the entire Human Factor album has far too many to mention as well as their other output

Every single riff from Catch 33 is cum-inducing.

Quite.

Symphony X-The Divine Wings of Tragedy-4:11-That diad line moving over the open high D string that's countered by the piano playing the same but an octave higher.

Death-Without Judgement intro and that cool lick at 1:46 pedaling off the low D.

Pantera-This Love-2:47-Uptempo ass-kicking riff

Opeth-Deliverance-0:25-verse riff

A7X - Second Heartbeat, 1:12-1:22. It's so awesome. I wish it was more than just 10 seconds of the song, and also wish it happened more than once. Probably their best riffage.
prog sucks

I was listening to In a Glass House by Gentle Giant today, and now I remember why I used to listen to it all the time: THOSE RIFFS!

The intro riff of The Runaway
The riff before the vocal harmonies in the bridge in The Runaway
Chorus riff of Experience
The 29/8 (or 7/8, 10/8, 12/8) riff in In a Glass House which is amazingly catchy for being so oddly timed
A bunch of other riffs in In a Glass House
