I figured I'd start a Witherfall thread and see what happens. I'm quite surprised there isn't already one, given this is a forum for a metal prog band. Nevertheless, here we are.
If you're unfamiliar with Witherfall, here's the rundown:
The band:
Vocals - Joseph Michael (who I wish were DT's singer instead of LaBrie)
Guitar - Jake Dreyer (formerly of Iced Earth, but that's probably a topic for the Political page). If you haven't heard his string work you're doing yourself a disservice
Drums - Marco Minnemann (a man who needs no introduction on a DT fan forum)
Bass - Anthony Crawford
Guitar - Alex Nasla
Discography contains 3 albums and 1 EP. Their best work start to finish, in my opinion, is the most recent release, Curse of Autumn (March 2021). The finale (not withstanding the Boston cover), ...And They All Blew Away, is a 15 minute epic with enough variety to satisfy any Dream Theater fan.
Here's the album and track listing. I've bolded my personal favorites from each album.
