I am pretty new to bands with female vocalists, and I am looking for more to check-out! I know these bands:

Check out the first Stream of Passion album, Embrace the Storm. That has my favorite female vocalist, Marcela Bovio.

Come to think of it, no discussion of "Chix that Rock" would be complete without Joan Jett. Both the Runaways, as well as her stuff with the Blackhearts , especially in the 80's, had a lot of material worth checking out.

Also, check out Pat Benatar. Great 80's female fronted pop-ish hard rock. Heartbreaker, Invincible and Hell Is For Children are some of the best rock songs with female vocals ever written.

Our house brah, Zydar has a kickass Who-ish (IMO) sounding power pop band going under way, and their stuff is really fun and energetic.
I'd recommend their songs He and Super Nova as their very best stuff.
