Wow that came out of nowhere!

There was a story Friday that Bob Odenkirk was taking to some reporters and let it ‘slip’ that it’d had already been filmed. He said something to the effect of ‘you guys must know it’s been filmed already, right?’

But yeah. Such a cool surprise.

Sidenote, I actually forgot for a moment about the talked about Breaking Bad movie. So I didn't realise at first that this was it, I just thought it was something else.

In fact it's an amazing TRAILER because it doens't show ANYTHING you haven't seen on BB.

That's literally it. There's not a second of "new" in that trailer. It's just a recap of the show with some weird song behind it.

Yeah. These snippets and teasers for this movie have done their job....they've given absolutely nothing away while re-awakening the BB Bug

There are some nice pics of the cast during the premiere back in October 7th in Los Ángeles. It was nice to see them ALL there. Including Walter White or as he rather likes to be called: Heissenberg

Well just watched it this morning (I'm from the UK).   I enjoyed it enough, but truthfully it was rather underwhelming and aside from a few key moments it is mostly pointless (plotwise).  It neither adds anything nor diminishes the show - it's kind off there, which is enjoyable enough because we get to return to the world we loved for a couple of more hours.

I too just finished it and I personally thought it was amazing. It was exactly what I was expecting and it was basically an extended episode of Breaking Bad but it had the tone of Better Call Saul with some very quintessential Jesse Pinkman moments.

I loved it.

Watching tonight with my wife. She's not a professional TV watcher like myself as I was ready to watch first thing this 'morning' as the clock struck midnight  :lol  But, since we rarely watch the same shows....but she did watch BB.....I figured I could hold out to be able to watch this with her.

My old man isn't much of a TV watcher but he can't get enough Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, so I'm waiting until probably tomorrow or Sunday when I can bring my laptop to my parents' and watch it with him.

Can those who watched say if you need to be fresh on the BB world to follow the movie?  I haven't watched/read into or done anything BB related since the series finale.  I never rewatched or anything so I kind of forget pretty much everything besides the major plot points.  My initial thought is I don't want to watch the movie wihtout doing a full rewatch so I'm fully immersed in the world that I forgot about.  BUt maybe if someone said you could follow the movie wihtout watching the show, then maybe I'd watch it.  Otherwise, I don't know if I'll ever watch it because I just don't have the time carved out to watch the whole series again.  I mean, it's a good show so I won't rule it out, but it's not hihg on my list just to watch the movie.

There's a Reddit comment that says the following: "Aaron Paul said that the episode 7 from season 3 was vital, i think he reffers to the scene when Jesse and Walker where in the hospital."

There's also this from Aaron Paul himself as well: https://collider.com/aaron-paul-breaking-bad-recap-before-el-camino/  :lol

I haven't watched the series in a while .I think you should be good to go for the movie .
There are a lot of callbacks so having the show fresh in mind will help but not critical .
I'm going to watch the whole show now after that movie .it's been a while .

El Camino was a perfect closing to JP, and I plan to rewatch tonite with my wife.

I don’t think it’s necessary to rewatch BB to see EC it will all unfold pretty good alone.

El Camino was good!

About as good of a send off to the Jesse character that one could write. Definitely didn’t detract from the original series (which I was worried about), and in fact provided a nice closure. It also doesn’t waste time throwing around a lot of Easter eggs referencing the original series which is a plus. In the end, nothing mind blowing, but very very satisfying.

Also, Aaron Paul once again provides a stellar, thoughtful performance. I really wish he would do (or had the opportunity to do) more dramatic roles.

They're having a screening today and tomorrow at our old theatre, Kimo Theatre. Most went to see it just to see the local places in the film. Most were fans and they seemed to enjoy it.

I finished it a bit ago.  It was okay.  I doubt I will ever watch it again.  The performances were all great, it just seemed kind of pointless.
