It's pretty obvious the cancer comes back. In the flash-forward at the beginning of the first episode of this season, we see Walt at the diner alone on his 52nd birthday, with hair and his beard shaved. He starts coughing when he is in the bathroom, in the exact same way he did when he was sick. Then we see him go out to his car and pull a shotgun out of the trunk.

Yeah, I'm not saying the cancer is not going to come back. I'm just saying Him dying of *just* cancer is going to be shieeeet.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

that was actually an M60 he bought from the gun guy.  Fully automatic.

The same guy he bought the handgun from at the beginning of the fourth season.
Joe and I in the same squad is basically the virtual equivalent of us plowing a rape van through an elementary school playground at recess.

Whatever happens, it should definitely be awesome. Vince sure knows what he's doing.

What if he's got the M60 because Skyler goes fucking nuts and kills everyone on the show, and Walt's gotta bring her down.  :metal

They have to keep Hank from finding out until the last minute.  There wouldn't be anywhere else to really go after that storyline wise.

So when does this thing end?  I'm seeing lots of talk about cliffhangers and such.  I'm wrapping up the second season, and while it's easy enough to avoid spoilers at the moment, if there's going to be a big, over-hyped conclusion like the Soprano's, that'll become pretty hard to do.  I'm wondering if I need to speed up my viewing.

Will still probably be a year until the finale, much like The Sopranos' final, divided, season.

Tomorrow will see the airing of the 8th and final episode of the first half.  The season is going to be 16 episodes in total, aired in two groups of 8.  The second group will likely air next summer.

I have to agree, I was a bit underwhelmed. Although I did enjoy the ending.

Honestly, (aside from the prison murders) I liked the more laid back and solemn feel to the episode. It will make the 10 month wait less agonizing. Had there been tons of cliffhangers, I'd have been aggravated. I feel it's more respectful to the fans to leave us with some more subdued things to ponder. In fact, I feel these first 8 episodes took the proper approach. Instead of trying to outdo the epic scale of season 4, they've allowed some gaps in action with silence and some wonderful subtle acting, more facially motivated, complimented with body language. I it as strong? Perhaps not. But for a show that theoretically could've just ended at the end of last season fairly satisfactorily, this season so far has been a nice "epilogue" of sorts. And so far, I'm certainly content.

Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, and football will carry me through the new year. Shortly after that, Justified should be back and that and Shameless will hold me over until the spring, when Game of Thrones and Mad Men (if they stick with the new spring schedule) will take me through the home stretch until new Breaking Bad next summer.

I am getting some serious Moby Dick vibes from Breaking Bad.  Hank, who is sort of a captain of the ship now at the DEA, has a serious hobble from his dealings with this investigation and has an almost unhealthy obsession with finding his white whale (W.W.)

Also, nice use of Crystal Blue Persuasion in this episode.

Since Ive been watching AMC and seeing commercials, my fiance and I have been watching The Walking Dead.  We like it so far and I think the 3rd season starts in October.
