Just saw the movie, I think it was good, but a few notes:
*Even though I enjoyed the movie as a whole, it did remind me of my biggest problem with the movies - a lot of the side characters haven't gotten the right amount of time on screen.
Obviously it's impossible to re-create a book completely in a movie, but there are characters that play much bigger roles in the books (Remus Lupin is one example that comes to mind), but then in the movie he's just dead, and I doubt many in the crowd would care.
I mean, when I read the books it was sad that he died, but he didn't get much screen-time during the later movies, and for those who have only seen the movies - he's a nobody really.
This counts for many other characters as well, when some reach their "important" scene, many people would go "wtf, who is this guy?" seeing as they hadn't been featured a lot on screen before.
*A bit related to the previous part, I felt like both Ron and Hermione had much fewer lines in the movie then I had expected. In the end it felt like they had maybe 5 minutes of dialogue, compared to Harry who had probably around 1 ½ hour or something.
Yeah he's the main character, blabla, but Ron and Hermione are still his side-kicks, or whatever.
*Some WTF-scenes. Voldemort shouting "Avada Kedavra" in the forbidden forest made me lol, and let's not even talk about when he hugs Draco.
