I don't understand the Machine Head hate, The Blackening actually was one of the best metal albums to come out in the last ten years.

Everything about them is so painfully cliche. The tough-guy image, the vocals, the lyrics, the generic chugga-chugga riffs...if someone were to form a band parodying modern "groove" metal, it would be Machine Head. I just can't take them seriously no matter how hard I try.

The Color Spectrum, Bon Iver, Iconoclast, Deconstruction, Ghost, Fly From Here, Memories in My Head EP, David Comes to Life, Leveler, Plains of the Purple Buffalo, Shabazz Palaces.

I really don't remember, I only heard it live and must have seen 20-30 bands over the weekend. I just remember that pretty much everything about the song reminded me very specifically of those two songs.
