I will have the marklar preordered, while visiting the Marklar at Marklar to see if the Marklar has Marklar'd.  It it has Marklar'd, I will Marklar to the Marklar while waiting for my Marklar to arrive.  Then I will Marklar until my fucking cock is rocked off.

Er...I mean "Then I will Marklar until my fucking Marklar is Marklar'd."

Every time I have preordered albums, I got them either on the same day, or after I could have gotten them straight from the store. So, no preordering for me.

BTW, has the discussion been raised about why it takes such a long time after the album is done mastering? They already released the obligatory single, so now it seems weird to delay the release of the album for such a long time.

I dunno. I know Rich Wilson has listened to it so it's definitely done and ready.

I'd like to know why it takes any album so damn long to put out after it's finished mastering.

It probably has to do with promoting it.

It's the obligatory promotion period. Which is becoming increasingly unnecessary, with the speed that hype generates nowadays, so let's just call it "tradition."

1- Pre-order the shit out of that CD
2- Continue living life as normal ignoring the little niggling at the back of my brain...
3- Forcibly push the niggling at the back of my brain away.
4- Retreat into madness, ignoring all school work at this point and failing all of my subjects

Day the CD arrives

5- Sneak down to the cellar to acquire some of the finest wines
6- Tell Dad that I need to borrow the Garage's sound system urgently
7- Get Jon to come round with his copy of the CD
8- Insert CD into disk player
9- Sit down and prepare to Mangini all over Dad's tools and motorbikes
10- Take a sip of the rare vintage whenever I regain control of basic bodily functions such as swallowing.

I guess you're hoping the album will...

Improve with age :neverusethis:

That's my feeling. Sure, back in the day posters needed to be printed, sent out into all cities and plastered everywhere. Promo CDs needed to be sent to radio stations etc. etc. That took a long time and a lot of preparation.
These days, you essentially just click "Send", and your album is promoted.
So, I don't understand why they would let the excitement die down that they had generated with the documentary and the single release. I'm back in my "wake me up when the album is out" mode.

1-Pre-order it at Play.com
2-hope that the delivery doesn't take much
3-Wait
4-Go back from school and pick up the CD of the mail box
5-Eat
6-Close the door of my room
7-Put the CD in the stereo.
8-Mangini
