Ok we are 2 months from today away to hear DT complete fresh and soooooo much waited new material, his is what I'm gonna do:

1. Wake up early.
2. Will go to the nearest music shop around.
3. Start to cry cause they haven't open yet!
4. Wait a couple of more minutes.
5. They'll open the store, I'll go inside.
6. Look for ADToE!!!!!! Got it!!!!!
7. Buy it, will go to my house and close the door.
8. Open the box andddddd ohhh MY FuCKiNG GOD that brand new CD smell (you know what im talking about! You've done it!!!)
9. Put on my noise cancelation headphones.
10. Play the CD.
11. DT is back!

My schedule that day:

Wake up
Go to any classes I might happen to have that day
Go to the mall
Buy the CD along with the new Anthrax and Primus discs
Go home
Listen to them, probably Dream Theater first

Regardless of when the album will be released here (maybe on the 9th, the 12th or even the 16th, don't even want to think about the latter), I'll definitely make a reservation at a local CD store so that I can pick it up on the release date. Then I'll go back home and play the album.

01 - Probably pre-order it.
02 - Get it in the mail.
03 - Wait for my dad to get home.
04 - Light some candles and close the door.
05 - Pour a drink to both of us.
06 - Put the CD into his computer.
07 - Plug in the speakers.
08 - Listen the hell out of A Dramatic Turn of Events.

1. Telling Dad to pick it up at "Rocks"
2. He calls me back and says "They didn't have it"
3. I go like "I knew this would happen", sit back and relax amd
4. go to ginza.se and buy it from there
5. wait like 2 days
6. get in the mail
7. Pick out the CD out of the CD-case, put it into the CD-player, turn teh Volume up to around 40, sit back and relax and be amazed for the next 80 minutes!

Or I could just preorder a special Edition (if there is one, otherwise just the CD and maybe some other albums I'm interested in) from Ginza when it'll be available.

Reading this thread makes me feel old... although heartened as well. I'm going to have to figure out some activity with my kids that afternoon that "requires" the album to be on... otherwise I'll have to wait until they go to bed.

For the past 2 or 3 albums, ThroughHerEyesDude6 and I went to the store on the first day, got it, went back to my house and sat there and listened to it start to finish without any talking.

I expect we'll do the same this time, after all my stupid classes.

Listen to it on my way back home in the train
Shit, the ride is not long enough...
Get in the house
The kids are looking at the TV, shut it off
Put it in the CD player, volume at 22
Enjoy it with my youngest daugther, the oldest one goes out to see her boy friend, wife is taking the dog for a ride

Not sleep the night before from sheer excitement
Arrive at HMV on September 13, five minutes before it opens
Pick up my copy and rush back home
Sit back and listen to it on full blast

That's really how i'll be getting it. haha. Since 8V, i've pre-ordered each album and received it anywhere from 3 days before its release to the day after. Pretty good track record if you ask me. haha.

If it's anything like the Black Clouds, I will go to work at 7am, take my lunch as early as possible and purchase it at Best Buy. From there, I will head to the park and sit in the sweltering heat, listening to it. Since it's September, I'm hoping it won't be too hot. On a side note, in 09, my local Wal-Mart had it out at about 9pm the day before it was to be released.

Since I'll take forever for the CD to arrive to my country,. I'll download it and listen to it in my computer. If I like it, I'll order it on Amazon and wait 3 weeks for it to arrive at my home. If not, hey, at this point I could do without any more DT.
