If you're into dark ambient atmospheric alternative rock, I recommend this guy. His main project is VAST. He had 2 little minor hits with the first album (Visual Audio Sensory Theater), which you may or may not have heard. He's one of my favorite artists. The first 3 albums are just so much enuhgee, powah. He'll just kill you right away. I think it's the best possible way for me to die.

Anyway, discuss.

But yeah, I highly recommend any of his first 3 albums with the band--Visual Audio Sensory Theater, Music for People, or Nude. Nude is my favorite, though.

Really? I think it's his best work. Perfect blend of alternative, industrial, acoustic, and atmosphere.

Nude is an amazing album.  VAST are a really cool band.  Jon Crosby is the fucking man, pretty much.

I saw VAST play the Masquerade in Atlanta circa 1999.  I had his first album at one time but it has long since disappeared.  Never followed him after that.
