While it's an album cover, I thhink the cover of London Calling is one of the two or three definign photos of rock (along with the Hendrix one in the first post).

Andrew Eldritch and Patricia Morrison of The Sisters of Mercy  :hat

Nice!  I always wished Morrison had stayed in that band longer, as I really felt she added a new dimension to that band which made Floodland such a fantastic record.  I guess between his ego and his inability to pay people for services provided, Eldritch had a way of making people not want to work with him again.  Oh well..............  :(

Same. She fit the band so well, music-wise and image-wise. Eldritch always made everything so chaotic for everyone involved with the process of each album. I love the man, but I don't think I'd ever wanna work with him on anything.

Great to see another Sisters of Mercy fan on here, by the way. :tup

Are we talking photos or anything?  Because most album covers and captured screen shots (like the Mangini one) really aren't photos.
This. People posting album art apparently can't read.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.
I be am boner inducing.

It's hard to imagine today, but in 1975 when this album came out, the cover shot was nothing short of mindblowing.  The costumes, the smoke and lights, the overall feeling of organized chaos.  Say what you will about their music, but KISS did a lot to put proto-metal in the public eye.

Thaaaank you very much, sir.

I'm not a Hendrix fan, but this is easily the best in the thread so far imo.
