New trend/accent thing in commercial voice-overs?
« on: July 08, 2011, 10:28:06 PM »
Is it just me or does EVERY voice-over in commercials, TV and Radio, pronounce their R's weird. Like with that rolling/gargly sound.
They all seem to say G(rolly gargly sound)reat or C(gargle)reamy.  It's hard to explain the sound through typing, but I swear it's in every commercial now a days.
Nothing against people who speak that way. I know some people who do and it's not that it's annoying or anything, I just think it's weird that that seems to be the requirement to get a voice-over gig now a days or something.
Maybe it's just me?

I AM A GUY
You're a fucking stupid bitch.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

lol.  My mistake.  I didn't realize I posted that in the Music section. I had two windows opened and must have picked the wrong one.

Of course Dream Theater isn't that good. Good music is obviously about 3 minute pop songs and catchy hooks.
Dream Theater aren't that good. Neither was Beethoven, or Mozart, or Bach. Pfft, 20 minute epics. Who needs that?
