Hey, guys.  This is a friend of mine who recorded himself playing drums to an edited version of this song.  As you probably know, it was originally just guitar and keys, but he added a little drum flavor.  What do you guys think?

The drums sound a little distracting to me. I don't know if it's just because they shouldn't be there, or because they're louder than everything else. I can definitely tell your friend has talent though!

I do really wish I could find where I put that album!

I loved the energy he brought to the original. I love that whole album so much, so to hear it driven up a little with some quality drum work was a treat. Thanks for sharing!

Pretty cool indeed.  Great mic job on the drums too.  They sound really good.  Maybe a little loud in the mix, but since they're kind of the feature instrument in this version I guess it makes sense. Whenever I try to mic my drums they sound like poo, yours sound great man.

Yeah, drums were loud in the mix, but since I know the song well enough, it didn't bother me.

It's good. I didn't like the use of the double bass though, I don't think the song calls for that but the rest is very interesting.

Never heard it?  The whole album is great.  I still can't believe this was a one-off show.

I tried listening to that album once, but it just didn't grab me. I must not have made it to this song... Or it could be cause I'm more inclined to like music with drums. :D
