Goal

Determine a ranking of songs, for each album and overall, where majority vote supports each song being at least as good as the song ranked one spot below it.

Format

Each album will be given it's own game, as will all other tracks in some manner. Each game is a series of rounds governed by the rules section below. It is not necessary to know these rules to vote, they simply determine how a ranking changes one round to the next.
Each round will use polls that close voting 2 days after being posted.
I will post new rounds every day that I can, hopefully at least six a week. This means two game running at once.
The poll results will not be hidden until a game reaches the round number matching twice the number of tracks on the album. From past experience no games actually go this long. Your votes can always be edited.
After all games are finished there will be at the very least a final to determine the top ten. I will post the rules to the final when it comes. To determine initial seeding for this game I will run a game for the albums.

Rules

Vote for each song that you think is better than the song one spot above it.
If you wish to leave the ranking unchanged vote for the top ranked song.
In the next round any song receiving more than half the votes during this round will be ranked one spot ahead of the song it defeated.
In the next round any song receiving half or less of the votes during this round will remain ranked at least one spot below the song it lost to.
Game ends when the ranking does not change from one round to the next.

Finals Rules

Final results determine top 10 songs only.
Each album will have at least one representative ranked 10^th or lower.
When necessary, songs will be added, at 12^th, according to their order within their respective album games.
Each album will have no more than one representative ranked 12^th or lower.
When necessary, songs will be deleted according to the lowest ranked in the applicable round.

Three songs right on the line, I love how this album always seems to have close matches over the entire album. Too bad Scarred didn't win.

I'm very happy Train of Thought ended up as high as it did, especially since it wasn't below Octavarium! My favourite and my least favourite albums. I think I agree with the albums in the two halves (1-6 & 7-11), just not at all the order within either half.

For running the thing, I'm always interested in how other people rank the songs

4 out of the top 5 are in my own personal top 5 so that's pretty cool. And 6 of the top 10 are in my top 10. TGP is just outside for me, Voices, Scarred and 6DOIT are the others that aren't in my top 10.

Thanks for running this.

A very solid top 10, but it's a shame In The Name Of God and The Count Of Tuscany got pushed out of it before the end. Can't have a DT top anything without In The Name Of God. 8 of those 10 would be in at least my own personal top 15 though, with several in my top 10
