The album was a little... Dry? Is the word, I think. A little dry for my taste, but it's still pretty stellar. There's no such thing as a bad DT album, just less good ones. As such, every song is redeemable on some level. But yeah, if you wanna discard it, I'll take it, hahah. I'll regift it.

No. It's a very good album, and listening to a great song following a very good album doesn't make me toss the latter in the bin. Otherwise, SFAM or TOT would be long gone from my collection.
... And you ask me: "Where's my hairspray?"

I think the way that you and I experience music is very different if you want to do that.

I do think that A Dramatic Turn of Events is going to be everything about Dream Theater that they should have become following 6DOIT, however, and for that reason, I will probably love it more than BC&SL.

Well, I guess that's why this thread is called "Black Clouds," LKap doesn't see the Silver Linings of the album.

Wtf, no. I really like OtBoA, but the only BC&SL song I prefer it to is AROP and possibly TBOT.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Of course Dream Theater isn't that good. Good music is obviously about 3 minute pop songs and catchy hooks.
Dream Theater aren't that good. Neither was Beethoven, or Mozart, or Bach. Pfft, 20 minute epics. Who needs that?

What about the saint behind the altar?

Okay, seriously, on topic, that does suck though. Count of Tuscany is my favorite song on that album.

From what I heard, soldiers hid in barrels, but that's just a rumor.

Haha, anyways, TCOT is a top 10 for me.

You obviously need to get yours ears dewaxed LKap ;)...BC&SL is a brilliant album, and TCoT must be one of their most popular epics.

I do feel ADToE will be a lot proggier than the last two albums....DT back to doing what they do best!!

BC&SL is a mostly decent effort. AROP isn't great at all and TBOT is far too raw to be on any album but the other 4 tracks are enjoyable. I certainly haven't thrown my copy out just because OTBOA is a great DT song.

All you have to do is buy another shelf for your CD's so you don't have to throw BC&SL away.
