I always brought American beer back to Canada to prove you dimwits only thought American beer sucked because that's all your government stores would sell.  Besides, most of the American beer you can buy there is actually brewed in Canada.  Same as most of the crap Canadian beer we can buy in the US is actually brewed in the US.

Geddy makes fun of me because I have a huge man-crush on all things Canadian. He is either always emailing, or snail mailing information on how to obtain Canadian citizenship.  :lol Last year he sent me the following books; (I read and loved them all  :lol )

So You Want To Be Canadian?

Did you hit up any of the activites in Hali TL? Beautiful day when I got back at 4pm, but I had plans and couldn't check out the commons.

Nah, figured the Commons would be way too crowded (though my sister at least attempted it). Was indeed a beautiful day though. Just had a get together with some friends. Though we should definitely have a DT Halifax get together with all of the forum's Halifax members (and any of their friends who want to attend) soon. Don't count on me to organize it, but I'll definitely attend if someone does.

I'd agree, who do we have? Setrataso, Global Laziness, Space Invader, myself, yourself...

Planning on going to Metallica? I'm fairly certain those three are.

Yeah man it was packed. I work at the Discovery Centre, and we had a both there. It was the hottest, most brutal 5 hours of my life.

XianL, Global doesn't live in Halifax anymore. He moved back to Ottawa.

Wow. Without getting too personal, he's decided to do something outside Kings then huh?

Edit: neat! Discovery Centre seems like an interesting place to work.

Yeah, there are no jobs in Halifax, and he pretty much ran out of money. So he's back where you can actually get work.

And yeah, its a cool place to work. I broke a cinder block over my boss's chest today, so that pretty much sums up how much fun I have there.

Heh, I almost went to Kings. But yeah, Halifax is a much better place to train for work than to actually get work.

I figured as much. Can't imagine what it would have been like to have actually been on the commons at that point.

Nah, too expensive. Would certainly have been cool though.

Setrataeso, if you're up for it, I place upon you planning a get-together for DTF's Halifax members (doesn't have to be anything fancy, could just be at the Lower Deck or something, I'm just too lazy to plan it myself. I'll definitely attend if someone plans it though).

True enough. You working currently, or still schooling? (I remember asking you when I first found out you were Haligonian, I don't remember your response.

Certain I'm working 11-7:30pm on Sunday. Would be able to get out to Hali by about 8:30pm. Perhaps we should move discussion of a get-together to another thread/pms?

I'd be up for that. Obviously dependent on what XianL is able to do.

Schooling (though off for the summer). Going back to NSCAD in the fall (2nd year). Possibly working for the summer, depending on if I find anything or not.

First off, I actually don't even think I know your name TL.

Secondly, if we're there to see Signal Hill (and lets face it, who isn't there to see them?), they dont start til 9:45. So, if the rest of us get there early and save a table and grab some food or something, then we'll be set to save a spot for Christian.

The name in RL is Pat. Nice to meet you, so to speak.

How about people get there somewhere between 9-9:30 (probably closer to 9, since there's usually quite the crowd for Signal Hill, or earlier if you think we should). We'll be able to grab food, and save a spot for anyone who's not able to make it until later.

Yeah sounds good. And we should definitely be there earlier. The Lower Deck fills up like crazy. And all the cruise folk that are in town right now...it'll be trouble.

Ill PM you guys later to talk details once I find out if Nic is good to come.

It's the anniversary of July 1rst, 1867, when our constitution was signed by a bunch of governers and we became a country....under the British Empire

Sooooo y/n? I'm not sure what Independance day is m'fraid.
