If we're going on death growl raps, ANTR is the better song...

ANTR's entrance is better but it runs out of steam after "Beautiful Agony...". OTBOA is a better song and opener, but doesn't have a better opening than ANTR.

OTBOA would be a great opener. the stage starts black and slowly grows brighter during the intro, then full on lights show at the choir kick-in

I approve of this.

OTBOA is incredibly progressive, has some pretty damn well written lyrics, it's interesting all the way and it doesn't carry on for too long.
BCSL is pretty good, though it's too dark for my tastes, it has Mike on backing vocals (and on lead vocals for one section), mediocre lyrics, and carries on a little too long to me.

OTBOA easily.

I can't say if OTBOA is a better opener than ANTR without hearing the rest of the album... and they're pretty different songs. ANTR fits its album good because the songs are long and few, and its quite an epic. We don't really know what the new album is about yet, so i find it difficult to answer.. But both are really great songs.

I listened to OTBOA once (I like to keep it fresh for the album) but early impression suggest I probably will like it more than ANTR. ANTR is more exciting in sections but it also drags at times too, whereas the new single doesn't overstay it's welcome. Plus I like the lyrics more.

Definitely ANTR.
I wouldn't want somebody with 18 kids to mow my damn lawn, based on a longstanding bias I have against crazy fucks.

Of course Dream Theater isn't that good. Good music is obviously about 3 minute pop songs and catchy hooks.
Dream Theater aren't that good. Neither was Beethoven, or Mozart, or Bach. Pfft, 20 minute epics. Who needs that?

I think OTBOA could be a great opener for ARoP.

OtBoA is better. I like the idea of ANTR but it's just too long I havnt gotten all the way through it since it first came out. It feels like a 40 minute song and just drags.

It's too early to tell. I like sections of ANTR more but feel that OTBOA is a more concise and focused song overall.

I don't think I'll be able to make a choice for a few months... We'll see how it stands the test of time...

Blind Faith??  or you don't care for ANTR??... :lol
Don't care for ANTR.

Oh, I've heard it now.  Definitely better.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

I think I'll go with the can opener, with the beer bottle opener not far behi..

Oh, you mean songs. Then OTBOA. Although the start of ANTR is pretty good and worked very well as a live opener, the rest of the song pales in comparison to OTBOA.
