Even though it says EST, would it be possible that they mean 11am EDT? Because I see on Google that the east coast is in Daylight Savings at the moment, and it doesn't make sense they would say 11am EST if, as I mentioned, the east coast is in EDT. Just seems odd that they would announce something at a specific time but that particular time is not in widespread use in the country of origin.

Is New York time EST time? because in NY is 4:07 AM now, so it will be 10:07 AM in Poland, so 6 hours +

They probably means EST and nothing else. It's the same time as when the documentaries were released.

As for me, it's five o'clock pm. So I will make it one listen before going back home from work.

Sorry if I offended anyone. Remove the comment if it is unsuitable. I was making a light hearted joke around the saying "Give a man enough rope and he will hang himself" meaning....give (someone) enough rope to hang himself to allow (someone) to accomplish his own downfall by his own foolish acts.

Question... has this song been confirmed as a SINGLE? Or is it just a release? Either way, cool that it's the opening track, even though the surprise of a Dream Theater album's opening will be taken away because listening to this.

I was thinking the same thing... maybe it's not a single in the sense that AROP or CM were, but an "actual" DT song (if you know what I mean

). I mean, it's the opening track on the album... they have a new drummer, and they would want to signify that they are bigger and stronger than ever, whilst retaining their musical roots.
So my guess is that the track is going to be epic, melodic, proggier than a typical DT single, and structurally non-radio friendly

Actually, going by EST (which is what the announcement says) it'll be 2am Melbourne time, not 1am as was said. If it were 11am NY time it'd be 1am, but NY is on daylight savings and is therefore EDT. But I'll still be checking an hour early incase they said EST even though they could have meant current NY time...

News: DreamTheaterForums is a place for people who just don't have the time for music anymore.
