The most recent series of bootlegs for The Great Debate are way more fun to listen to than the studio version.  Especially the "harvesting existince" part.  Rudess's keyboards sound so sinister.

You know what else sounds sinister live? The keys during the spoken parts of This Dying Soul on Budokan. That album doesn't have the kindest keyboard mix, so when you those chords cranked on Budokan, that part is EVIL out of nowhere (like a bullet from the night). Throw in the red lighting and the close up shots of LaBrie, and the whole thing is just badass.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

I will say Surrounded from Chaos in Motion, absolutely incredible. it's an incredible song to begin with, but that solo is just immaculate, and live! i know that LaBrie's vocals aren't.............good, but that solo and the intro as well! wow. and the duel between JR and JP, if you see the DVD version. it's unbelievable!

I've always felt exactly the same way. It's a shame they're mixed so low on Train of Thought...

Definitely Through her Eyes.

How can more people not mention THE!!

The album version is so-so but the LSfNY version is beautiful. Especially coming off the back of John and Theresa's solo spot.

I absolutely love Through Her Eyes from LSFNY. Only off thing is the MP/JP vocals. Coulda let Teresa do them.

On that note, actually... Vacant. The orchestra really adds some depth to that song... not to mention it's probably one of the most genuinely emotional performances I've ever heard/seen from James. Just fantastic.

Raise The Knife (Score)
The Killing Hand, just for the sake of having Another Hand as an intro, which I absolutely love. Don't care about the actual song too much.
YtseJam (Once in a Live Time)
To Live Forever ('98 Christmas CD)
Cover My Eyes (the acoustic version on the 98 Christmas CD)
Take Away My Pain (Live in Old Bridge, NJ)
Fortune in Lies (Live At The Marquee)
