Album of the Year 1971 - nomination phase (OVER)
« on: June 17, 2011, 12:10:19 AM »
Rules:
-Post your 5 favorite albums from 1971; the order does not matter.  If you only like less than 5, list those.  Just no more than 5.
-List the band name first and then the album name.  Like this: Band name - Album name
-If you change your mind, edit your original post.  Do not post them again.
-Only studio and live albums will be counted; no best of, compilations, etc.
-Posts that you do not follow these rules will not be counted.

Nomination phase will last two days.

Edit: Nomination phase is over.

Hmmm, I had Fragile listed as 1972, but upon review, it was first released in the U.K. in November of '71, so it counts as 1971.

My picks:

Led Zeppelin - IV
The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers
The Who - Who's Next
Yes - Fragile
Yes - The Yes Album

Looking through some 1971 albums I came across Electric Warrior by T-Rex.  Anyone know if Satriani's cover art from Strange Beautiful Music a homage to this?
