Wow it's been a while since I've visited this thread. Anyways, I was just wondering if the zerogravityfat that Paul Bissonette just mentioned on twitter is the zerogravityfat from here. If it is, DUDE YOU LUCKY SON OF A BITCH.

^^oh I know generally what it is^^ But I don't have a phone with a data plan, and I sit behind a firewall SO massive at work that 99% of the photos on this board are red X's. Also, all javascripting has been permenantly disabled and I'm running IE7 without any other choice.

furthermore 75% of all twitter accounts are inactive within 3 months of activation....

still...my ignorance does extend to not understanding half of what I read in tweeted messages....hashy something orother...numbersignnumbersign???....

twitter is a tool for tools to show of their tool-i-ness. but it's very useful for news that break, so i started following hockey news people and bloggers a few summers ago and primarily use it for that purpose.

biznasty is a superhero from phoenix who's a 4th liner for life (incidentally the reason he tweeted back, i told him i'm buying his tshirt that says 4th liner for life - his shirts benefit the homeless in phoenix, hence his rise to power) who basicly is a benchwarmer. he tweets the most fucked up shit that he would fit right in at five8. most convo is on taking a shit, yoga pant girls, and random homeless guy hang outs. he has a favorite homeless guy in vancouver called spoons, who himself became famous for the interactions.

just a giant ongoing meme in person i guess, fun to follow and laugh about. also, if you can burn him bad enough, he will retweet it for the world to laugh. my last attempt at burn was when he came to nj for the game, i told him i have great seats for the game if he wants to watch up close. no dice on that one. i guess the last one caught his attention.

Biz is hilarious, I get to hear him on local radio all the time during the season. Talks about dating a girl but when he's out of town he's meeting his ex gf or going out. Major joker and quite entertaining.

ahh yes him

They had him on the TSN panel briefly in the play offs I think. It's not like Yotes were really ever in the playoffs so I don't think he had anything better to do.

Doc Emrick joins NBC exclusively, ending 21 years with the Devils. I think he will have his 'number' on the rafters this season or next. What a man.

I love the guy. I got nervous when I saw that he retired, but was extremely relieved to find that I'd still be able to hear him for national broadcasts.

Hmm, not sure I care for the leaf since there is already a team using that as a logo and all, but looks good otherwise. A bit plain but clean.

The Jets logos are ugly compared to their vintage stuff, but of course it is all just marketing and now every Jets fan will run out to grab the new jersey.

Eh, the 90s Jets logo was okay but nothing special. It would of changed by now had the team stayed in Winnipeg anyway.

From what I've seen the logo looks better on merchandise.

I assume you refer to the Ghost of Captain Highlander....and not the logo that one 4 Stanleys in a row.

no i refer to all of those, a long island map with a shitty font on the bottom is nowhere near passable as a logo.

The Islanders logo is awesome!

There isn't a logo in the entire league and possibly all of sports that depicts what the team is about and its position in its community.

I actuallly like the Prince spaghetti unis better, although I have to admit that the black as applied in the context of the Devils jersey is very tasteful.

More often than not, the use of black on jerseys tend to detract from them in spite of black being popular from a "sales" point of view.

I like the Jets logo on paper but I don't like it in the context of that cap at all.

lol an offer sheet to one of the rfa's would have been a better bet. lou is a genius.

though to be fair, he did play well second half of last season, and should do well in the island if he's top two line. we just didn't have space for him and his wide left cannon of a shot. glass insurance in nassau just sky rocketed.

uhhh tampa may want to have something to say about that.

The Lightning?  For the sake of argument I'll go along with the obvious stretch of the Lightning bolt representing Florida (Maybe one of the alternate logos has something, I don't know) But where on the logo is there any sign that the team plays hockey?

Rolston-Hunter Trade?

Good deal for both teams.  Hunter didn't have a spot on the Islanders anymore and Rollie is versaltile enough to provide leadership and play on both special teams units.

If Hunter is healthy, he'll be a more than solid fit on the Devils 4th line or he'd be somewhat easier to buy out/demote than Rolston should that decison have to be made.

Islanders have the cap room and if Rollie has a good year, he can be traded for futures at the deadline or sign for less money.

Too pretty smart GMs making a trade in this case that fixes a problem.

As a big fan of both teams, I like this trade. Perfect timing for it too.

Unfortunately for me, I have this really bad feeling the Islanders are history in Nassau after 2015.
