I will say that after the Florida series, the Devils plays fantastic, but the Kings were not to be stopped and played even better.

I tip my hat to the Kings, they were the better team over the last six games. It was a great run for us though, I look forward to us being back next season (with Parise still in the red and black).

Way to go, Kings! And now, I must wait for another season to see if my Leafs will get...well...anywhere.

Although none of my top teams won or even made it to the final I am happy for the Kings, I enjoyed watching them win this after barely making it to Stanley in the first place.

Agreed. I felt myself rooting for the Devils, but it was a great celebration for the Kings. A very likeable team.

Congrats Kings!
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Congrats to the Kings. What a dominant playoff run they had, and thus, they have the prize.

A very likeable team.

Very true.  That coupled with the fact they had never won the cup, made them an easy team to pull for.
Congrats King's.
Oh shit, you're right!

Also first 8th seed to win the Cup.

I was just rooting for whichever team was playing at home.

The Kings, Giants and Cardinals of this past sports season and the Mavericks of the last sports season before it are proof that sometimes all you need to do is get into the tournament.  Congrats Kings.

How many 8 seeds have played for the cup? I remember the Hurricanes going to the finals as the 8.

I think you're remembering the Oilers who were the 8th seed when they played Carolina in '06.

Which is one of the reasons I wanted the Rangers to win. If that had happened, the Kings would have beaten the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 1st seeds, which would have not only been a first, but the absolute toughest (by the numbers) setup any team could possibly face in the playoffs.
