I was just listening to Solitary Shell and thought it would be really nice if JP played some acoustic guitar in one of the songs from the new album.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I agree, They do look unified :)

I love that sneaky smirk that lurks in JLBs face too :D he seems... content.

In other opinions, seems as though they're revamping the BC&SL theme for this album (dark, black, grey)... since I assume these are promo pictures? Maybe an "undo, do-over" approach?

I can't be the only one to think that James has changed a lot in appaearance in the past few years. I don't mean just his hair, but his eyes look completely different. i can't see any resemblance to his 'old eyes'.

Finally normal band photo. On BC&SL they looked like some death/gothic/black metal band. Hopefully that won't happen again.
