You guys are crazy. Ride the Lightning deserves a spot in every metalhead's Top 50.

If it were an essential metal list, then yes I agree.  For my own personal list, nah.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Nice list, guessing that Decon will be in  the top2.

However, I wouldn't call Deadwing "underrated", it's considered their best by many, and together with In Absentia I'd say it's their most popular.

City and Alien are real close IMO.

Ki, while nice, isn't even in my top 4 Devin / DTP albums.  I will rage something unholy if Terria isn't in the top 2 now.  SOMETHING UNHOLY.

2. Devin Townsend Project - Addicted

This was the album that made me realize my love for Devin Townsend's music. Something so poppy and catchy couldn't possibly be this heavy at the same time. Any other artist would have driven himself to insanity trying to make it work, but Devin Townsend does it without breaking a sweat. The real key to this album's charm is the greatest female vocalist known to mankind, Anneke van Giersbergen. Her voice is the ultimate antithesis to Devin's raw growl. The opening of the first track makes this abundantly clear. Devin lets out a powerful roar, followed quickly by a soaring harmonized melody from Anneke. Instantly, the worlds of metal and pop collide, creating a truly unique piece of music. Anneke delivers her best vocal performance on the remake of Hyperdrive, from 2007's Ziltoid the Omniscient. She pumps more energy into that song than any other singer could hope to. Devin's operatic voice is not to be ignored, delivering some of the most chill-inducing moments on the album (My personal favorite is in Numbered!, "I'm alright to FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYY"). Overall, no words can do this album justice. Listen to it as soon as possible.

Recommended tracks: Addicted!, Bend it Like Bender!, Supercrush!, Numbered!

#1 will be announced tomorrow. I won't spoil anything, except that NOBODY in this thread has guessed correctly.

Amazing album. Wouldn't be that high for me, but I completely understand how it could be for someone.

fail for not having Bend It Like Bender on your recommended tracks
on par with the anguish one would have from getting unconsensually bent over and buttloved.

I got into Devy about 6 months after Addicted came out.

What I'm saying is nobody has guessed correctly, so yes, I suppose so.

Really?  I don't remember when Addicted came out exactly, but I got into him January of 2010.  I thought you'd been a fan for longer.

After all that fapping you did over it, a fucking Alestorm album beats it?

You are the worst Ultimetalhead in the entire goddamn universe.

Matt has a point though, Decon being below an Alestorm album is pretty bad.

I'm not trying to say that Alestorm is bad or anything. They have a lot of really fun stuff too. It's just that Decon is much much better.
