Talking Heads-The Great Curve A true masterpiece!

Heard this song?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW1IqW6kNdU

A true polyrhythmic masterpiece. Itīs one of those recordings that will never grow old. It sounds as fresh as if it was recorded a day ago.

Great production, great melodies and drums.  Adrian Belewīs guitarsolo is thae only thing that I didnīt find perfect it seems like it doesnīt really fit in  :P

Pretty much all of Remain in Light is perfect.  It's one of those albums that really does sound timeless.

For sure.  It seems like many fans of progressive metal arenīt really awhare of their best songs, like The Great Curve for instance.

Would be fun to hear DT do a cover of that song, they would need 3 extra singers though.  ;D

I think JP or even more JR would do a much better solo over that song then Belew did actually.  :P

Good grief, no.  DT doesn't have the mindset to successfully cover a song like that (just like Talking Heads couldn't cover a DT song), and having them wank it up into a prog metal thing would be a travesty.

Some things that seem like they wonīt sound good at all, actually does.  ;)

Like on Day of the Dead by Sherinian for instance . Holdsworth was soloing over a heavy Zakk Wylde riff and it worked  great. He even used his usual patterns and scales.
