Big Wreck thread!
« on: October 15, 2019, 11:28:40 AM »
Really surprised to see no Big Wreck threads in here yet. They are a really great band. Not sure what to classify them as -- maybe Alt Rock with hints of Metal, Southern Rock, and Prog Rock?

The singer/lead guitarist Ian Thornley is amazing at both and is also a great songwriter.

If you're curious to check them out, there's a couple officially posted YouTube videos. There's a good chance you've heard The Oaf and That Song before, especially if you live in Canada.

Seeing them tonight in Atl.  First saw them on the FII tour when they were the openers.  That made me a fan.

New album is really good.  Expecting to see a good show.

Oh yeah that's right, they opened for DT back in the day.

I'm seeing them for the first time on Nov 29th in Ottawa. So far I've listened to every album except Ghosts and I'm loving it all so far.

There is actually a Big Wreck thread here.  That stated, they should be talked about more.  They are a great band and I've been enjoying their latest album, ...But For The Sun.  I do want to see them in LA this Sunday, but it's on a Sunday and after going to so many shows in LA, this year, I'm just at my limit of being sick of driving to the area.  We'll see.

It's all right.  It's the search engine is not really the greatest on the site.  You have to search it via Google and put site:dreamtheaterforums.org and then it shows up.

I love Big Wreck, I've also been listening to the new record a good bit. It's really good, the whole band sounds killer.

I love the new album as well! Does anyone know if Ian using a baritone guitar on Voices? It sounds like it's tuned to a low G#. Either way it sounds dirty and awesome.
