Listening to the album for the first time. Now at 'Thickening'. So far, this is pretty much the most fun I've had first listen with a metal album in a while. Sounds like they've totally outdone themselves in another way.

So this album is pretty much god-tier.
I disagree. CTS succeeded on its own merits and everything from the riffing to song construction sounded 100% purposeful. While some elements from that album are there in The Hunter it's more sparse than anything. It's like hearing elements of an album to come but after the fact, if that makes any sense.
