Yes  :metal

This is also their best cover in my opinion

I'm kinda iffy about buying this as soon as it comes out still. The title track was way simplistic IMO and not what I'd really like the rest of the album to be like.

I doubt the single is representative of the entire album as a whole, man. The single has fantastic melodies combined with some very intense moments and I really like it overall, so I'm pretty pumped tbh.

And yeah, I agree- this cover is definitely their best yet.

Cool artwork. Not their usual style, but I dig it.

Loving the new album artwork. It reminds me of the film Epoch. Where an alien ship hovers over the ground... https://www.oyecinema.com/images/movieImages/77735/250px-Epoch_poster.jpg

I must say, Ember to Inferno was fantastic album. Ascendency was near-perfect. The Crusade had a lot of great tracks. Shogun was another fantastic album. I'm really looking foward to what's next. The two tracks that have been released so far "Shattering the Skies Above" and "In Waves" were very good, but I'm hoping the album has better songs. (which I'm sure it will)

Shattering The Skies Above is what I consider to be a prefect Trivium song.

Hmm...I don't know about that. I think I'd give it a solid 8/10.

Shattering the Skies didn't do much for me.  It's no where near the perfect Trivium song.

I think Shogun is their most perfectly-crafted song. I'm happy that Trivium are one of those bands who can pull off an epic 11 minute song and make it work

This actually.
When Shogun came out, the title-track stood out from the beginning.
Such an epic song.  :hefdaddy

Like what they did on the Ascendancy special edition? That'd be cool.

Yeah, Shogun's probably one of my favorites, too. The "time has come to face all evil" part in particular, and then the transition into the fast, heavier part.

Shattering the Skies Above is probably an 8/10 for me, too. Not perfect, but still really good; and if you liked that, you shouldn't really be worried about this album. And a DVD with the deluxe edition? This is going to be fantastic.

Really, why? Trivium is great and all, but I can't imagine them ever releasing anything up to DT's standards (imo)

It's got nothing to do whether it will be better than DT or not, I'm just a big fan and the new track and this special edtion has me more excited about this than DT at this very moment.  That very well might change once DT release more info.
