Matt Heafy (the singer) was like 18 when that album was recorded, they've changed quite a lot since then, plus that song has been quite heavily edited by whoever made that video. Great song though!

On a different note, has anybody else listened to Capharnaum? They were a tech-metal band Matt played guitar and sang for before Trivium picked up. Pretty good stuff!

I just listened to the song "In Waves" on Youtube. Very cool. Gonna have to check them out. What do you think they'll play on the tour?

They'll probably play newer stuff, which I'm not really looking forward to. Shogun is definitely their best album. You should check it out.

just popping in here to say I spun Shogun a couple times after hearing about them touring with DT, and so far I'm digging it. Of Prometheus and the Crucifix is probably my favorite track so far, but I really haven't digested a bunch of the songs yet.

It's a big album with a lot of material. Take your time and listen to it, it will pay off.

I love the inclusion of more slower/ballad-esque moments on this album. I always said Trivium could use some room to breathe in some of their songs, and they did that very well on In Waves.

Agreed! A really solid album overall. Doesn't quite edge out Shogun for their best but it's still good.
