Eminem Thread
« on: May 19, 2011, 05:37:07 PM »
There were a few threads related to his newest CD but I thought I'd make a default Eminem Thread. Now I'm not the biggest fan, but I own The Eminem Show, and like some of his other songs. I don't like his goofy shit much at all, but his more serious songs like When I'm Gone are great and quite touching. The man has some serious talent. I haven't heard everything by him, but a good amount of what I've heard is decent to great.

And now I'll take this opportunity to show you all my edit of Stan:

Phenomenal lyricist. I don't listen to him often, but when I do, I love it. His tongue-in-cheek humor is awesome and like you said, his serious songs hit hard. Much respect.
Gadough isn't Hitler. He's much, much worse.

Love Eminem, old school, though.

Add me to the camp that need to listen to him more because when I get to I love it. Good call on When I'm Gone OP, that song blew me away the first time I heard it.

I was a big fan of Eminem when I was 12 and 13 (mostly of Encore, The Eminem Show, and his other singles). These days, every few months or so, I'll just have a nostalgia night where I listen to a bunch of his songs from that period. I'm often joined by setrataeso because we were both fans (and friends) back then.

I walked down a spiral staircase in 19/16 in honor of Tom Sawyer and now I'm in crutches.

One of my favorite MC's.  I'm kind of hit and miss with his music though, not a fan of his singing or the pop stuff.  But Rap God is insane.

The very soul of what was once real music is now lost in a digital quagmire of emotionless sonic madness.
