Excellent post tick.

Judas and Peter both did see how Jesus was, yet he knew one of them was gonna betray him, how? Because he knew how the mind works, he knew things we still don't understand.

What? You know absolutely nothing about what Jesus knew about Judas and Peter. You assume he only knew what little is written in the bible, I'm sure had years of experience with them, and at that point it's actually somewhat easy to predict what certain people will do.

"Terrible Lie"

hey God
why are you doing this to me?
am i not living up to what i'm supposed to be?
why am i seething with this animosity?
hey God
i think you owe me a great big apology.

terrible lie
terrible lie
terrible lie
terrible lie

hey God
i really don't know what you mean.
seems like salvation come only in our dreams.
i feel my hatred grow all the more extreme.
hey God
can this world really be as sad as it seems?

terrible lie
terrible lie
terrible lie
terrible lie

don't take it away from me.
i need someone to hold on to.
don't take it away from me.
i need someone to hold on to.

hey God
there's nothing left for me to hide.
i lost my ignorance, security and pride.
i'm all alone in a world you must despise.
hey God
i believed your promises, your promises and lies.

terrible lie
terrible lie
terrible lie
terrible lie

you made me throw it all away.
my morals left to decay.
how many you betray.
you've taken everything.

terrible lie.
my head is filled with disease.
my skin is begging you please.
i'm on my hands and knees.
i want so much to believe.

i need someone to hold on to.
i need someone to hold on to.
i need someone i need someone.
i need someone to hold on to.
i give you everything.
my sweet everything.
hey God
i really don't know who i am.
in this world of piss

Anywho

I admit, reading this thread, I'm somewhat perplexed by people who have personal relationships with God or Jesus.

Maybe it's because I've never believed, but I'm not really seeing how this is possible. I am always interested in what people have to say about these things, and I think it's crucial to keep an open mind. But from my own personal experience, those people respond with "I just know they're listening" and "I can feel their presence". I understand this, but clarification is required. If its not external, or rather, literal conversations, then it's internal. And if it's internal, it naturally must be a manifestation of thoughts & imagination in the brain. I'm guessing the latter is this case? If so, Is God like a voice in your head guiding you (ie, not your voice), or are there physical signs which you see?
on par with the anguish one would have from getting unconsensually bent over and buttloved.

Trent Reznor was my introduction to music and has been one of my favorite artists for awhile now. Always glad to catch references of him wherever I see 'em.
